Programme details
If your application is successful, you will join our Rare Foundations: Law events at Clifford Chance, Herbert Smith Freehills, Hogan Lovells, Linklaters and Mishcon De Reya from 19th – 21st December 2023, and 3rd – 4th January 2024.
What you will do
Commercial Law Boot Camp
These firm days will provide you with exceptional learning and networking opportunities. You will meet with partners, associates, trainees and members of graduate recruitment and get a real insight into what being a commercial lawyer means.
Study Seminars
Contract and Tort are key modules for many law firms when assessing applications.
We found that one in five candidates with 3 As or better at university failed to get a 2.1 overall or missed a 2.1 in either Contract or Tort in their first year. Our study seminars, led by a world-class tutor, ensure our candidates get the best possible grade(s) in these important modules.
Application Support
We will give you expert advice on how to make a successful application to first year programmes, including feedback on your application drafts.
Panel of Experts
Participants will work closely with former Clifford Chance and Slaughter and May lawyer, Melissa Andrewes and former Allen & Overy lawyer and Graduate Recruitment Manager at Herbert Smith Freehills, Carly Gilberg and former recruiter at Clifford Chance and Linklaters, Rianna Powponne as well as our wider team of application and interview experts.
Articles Fast Track
Successful graduates of Rare Foundations: Law can be fast-tracked to interview for Articles. Articles is Rare’s extended development programme which runs from your second term of first year (or second year of a four-year degree) into your second year (or third year of a four-year degree) where the focus is on providing you with support with applying for vacation schemes. 52% of the 2021-22 Articles cohort secured an offer with at least one of the firms we work with.
