Its scale and capability positions Hogan Lovells amongst the global elite of law firms, and provides our trainees with an international stage on which to develop their legal career.
Its international strength across a wide range of practice areas gives Hogan Lovells a strong reputation for corporate, finance, dispute resolution, government regulatory and intellectual property. This provides good training opportunities for those joining us.
The recruitment and training philosophy at Hogan Lovells is very simple: its continued success as a firm depends on the ability to attract and retain the brightest and most able people. Hogan Lovells currently recruits up to 75 trainee solicitors per year across two intakes in February and August, and we welcome applications from both law and non-law students.
The two-year training contract at Hogan Lovells is split into four six-month seats. As a trainee, you will move around four different practice areas during this time, to gain as much experience as possible - one of your seats will be in either our corporate or finance group, and another in one of our litigation teams. You will also have the option of spending time in the second year of training on secondment to one of our international offices or to the in-house legal team of a major client.
As a trainee at Hogan Lovells, you will be offered as much responsibility as you can handle relating to client work as well as a comprehensive legal skills training programme, regular reviews and appraisals. After qualification continuous training and development remain a priority - we enable the brightest minds to deepen their professional and business expertise throughout their career, which enhances the quality of advice Hogan Lovells provides to clients, its reputation and your ability to make the very best of your expertise.
