White & Case
White & Case LLP is a truly global law firm with men and women of 93 nationalities who speak 79 different languages and with offices in 25 countries around the world. We provide counsel and representation in virtually every area of law that affects cross-border business. Our diverse clients include companies, governments and financial institutions with complex and challenging issues. We are driven to recruit, develop and advance exceptional people of diverse backgrounds who will strengthen our business and our work across practices and regions. Our diversity not only enriches us collectively, but enables us to be an employer of choice for our lawyers and a law firm of choice for our clients worldwide. Diversity for us is not a choice – it is a professional imperative.
Our mission is to build upon our strength and create an environment where all who work are encouraged, assisted and inspired to reach their full potential regardless of their background. Our permanent global diversity function is led by Executive Partners for Diversity and the Women’s Initiative, Raoul Cantero and Nicole Erb, respectively, who oversee the Diversity Committees and the Global Women’s Committee, comprising partners who are all passionate about diversity. Our strategies for achieving success in this area have centered on dedicating resources to this goal and on the three-legged stool of recruiting talent widely, retaining the best and promoting equitably.
As part of our two-year training programme, we are looking to recruit ambitious trainees who have an interest in working on big-ticket, cross-border work; trainees who are enthusiastic and can work well in teams; trainees who are commercially aware, can accept early responsibility and demonstrate their confidence in a client focussed environment. All these qualities are important, however trainees will be welcomed for their individuality and their ability to contribute to the cutting-edge work we do.
The training period consists of four six-month seats. We guarantee that one of the four seats can be spent in America, Africa, Asia or Europe.
