Teach First’s mission is to end educational inequality. They believe that no child’s success should be limited by their socio-economic background. Educational inequality begins before a child even begins school: a gap which widens throughout education, and consequently has an impact on their future prospects.
Teach First are looking for graduates who can inspire in the classroom and bring resilience, efficiency and imagination to any environment.
Their Leadership Development Programme is an intensive two year programme which combines training and qualifying as a teacher with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). Development continues throughout the programme through coaching, mentoring, business training and a range of networking and skills workshops.
Teach First are supported by their ‘Platinum Partners’ who offer a range of internship opportunities. They include PWC, Accenture, Goldman Sachs and the Royal Navy.
On finishing the programme, people become Teach First Ambassadors. A growing number of ambassadors are using their experience in the classroom to develop new ideas to change the reality of education in the UK.
Applications reopen on the 21st August 2017.
