Sincere thanks are due to our judges David Lammy, Trevor Phillips and Jean Tomlin. For such prominent and busy people to give up their time for Rare Rising Stars says a lot about them, and I am extremely grateful to our judges for their commitment to the project.

Thanks are also due to Bill Knight for his fantastic photography, his creativity, his flexibility, and for the brilliant way he puts his subjects at ease. We are deeply in his debt.

We are also in debt to our wonderful editor Esther Odida. This is her third year working on Rare Rare Rising Stars, and she has managed the project from inception to completion.
