We are excited to announce the addition of Communications Intern Esther Odida to our team for the summer. Esther has just completed her second year in Chemical Engineering at Cambridge University but joins us with a hunger for experience in Marketing, Communications and Event Management.
‘A lot of people get confused when I tell them that I’m studying Chemical Engineering but don’t want to be a chemical engineer. It’s simple: I enjoy my degree and the challenges that come with it, but what really sets me alight is the power to influence, inspire and engage people through advertising and branding’ she said.
Esther loves to combine her science-based academic pursuits with a deeper Arts flair. Her article ‘Immortality, Anyone?’, which was read by Sir David Attenborough and shortlisted for The Daily Telegraph Science Writer Awards 2007 showcased her passion for communicating complex ideas ‘as simply and as elegantly as possible’.
As a Year in Industry Contribution to Business Award Winner, Esther wants to add to Rare’s stellar service, which has exposed her to possibilities that she never knew were available to her.
Esther is excited about the responsibilities that she has already been given: ‘I get to work closely with some amazing clients and candidates, and organise some fantastic events. I’m so proud to be a part of an organisation like Rare –both as a candidate and an intern- and I can’t wait to see my ideas evolve around me’.
