Case studies

We have been working with WPP on its Fellowship programme since 2005. This is an exceptionally competitive programme with only 10 or so places for thousands of applicants. We have helped WPP hire 9 Fellows and Associate Fellows from an exceptionally wide range of backgrounds.

We have been working for UBS Investment Bank since 2005 and in that time have made 19 internship and graduate placements.  We have traditionally focused on the race diversity agenda and have also successfully helped the bank recruit for specific language requirements.

We have been working for Slaughter and May since 2006.  In that time, we have helped 12 people get training contracts and 16 people get vacation schemes.

In December 2007 we ran an event for L’Oréal attended by 50 carefully selected students. Six of those students subsequently applied for internships and all six were successful. We subsequently held a second event with L’Oréal in September 2008 and made five graduate scheme and internship placements during the course of the year. Our third event took place in September 2009 and was followed over the course of the year by 11 hires. Summix IV was held in September 2010 and a number of candidates who attended are now being assessed by L’Oréal.

The Civil Service Intensive Coaching Programme (ICP) aims to help successful candidates from the Civil Service Summer Diversity Internship Programme to go on and gain a place on the Civil Service Fast Stream. ICP candidates receive bespoke, one-to-one development sessions covering interview technique, presentation and writing skills from Daniel Mokades, Rare’s Assessment and Training Director and a qualified executive coach. Candidates also attend a number of group sessions. Now in its third year, the ICP has had a significant impact – candidates who have been on the ICP are 16 times more likely to get hired onto the Fast Stream.
